My proposal for senior show speaker (if we decide to have one) is John Hendrix.
Here's a link to his website.
Here's a link to his blog.
Here's a clip from his bio on his site:
"After working for a few years as a designer, John moved from Kansas to New York City to become famous. John attended The School of Visual Arts in the Graduate Illustration as Visual Essay program and graduated in May 2003 with honors and debt. During his 4 years illustrating in New York, John also taught at Parsons School of Design and worked at The New York Times as Assistant Art Director of the Op-Ed page for several years.
At this very moment, John is teaching undergraduate illustration at Washington University in St. Louis, working on several picture books for children, hoping to start an apiary, and changing diapers. He lives in St. Louis with his wife Andrea and son Jack. "
Here's a short list of some people he's worked with:
"Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, The New York Times, Scholastic Books, Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, New York Magazine, The Village Voice, The New York Times Book Review, Foreign Policy, Seed, The New York Press, "
